Was one of the kind adventure involving a team of 3 that covered over 6500 km on 100% self made biodiesel across 10 European countries in 2010. The trip was mainly sponsored by the University of Twente, The Netherlands and supported by several sponsors from India and the Netherlands
The India leg of biodiesel trips were done time and again. The first in 2011 where 3981 km on 100% self made biodiesel was achieved across South India on a Tata Sumo vehicle. The 2014 University of Agricultural Sciences (Bengaluru) sponsored trip was also across South India but this time on a 25% biodiesel- petroleum diesel blend on my Ford Figo car and roughly 4,500 km was realized. The 2017 University of Twente and Nuffic NESO sponsored trip was over 5800 km long and was covered on an average 30% biodiesel- petroleum diesel blend across 10 states and 2 Union territories on my Ford Figo car
CIIRC organized a world record breaking event - Eco-Driveathon 2017 where in over 50 cars with varied biodiesel- petroleum diesel blends participated on a drive from Bengaluru to Sringeri and back. The event was flagged off by the late former Union Minister- Mr. Ananth Kumar
CIIRC participated in the Asia Pacific rally championship- 2016, where the Indian leg of the championship was held in Chikkamagalur. My biodiesel powered car was used as a setter car for the first time in the championship's history.
Have
a penchant for trekking though would like to in proper trekking gear. More so,
the trekking so far has been restricted to the hills of the Western Ghats. The
plan is to trek the lower and higher ranges of the world’s tallest mountain
range- The Himalayas
Have
cycled in both India and the Netherlands. In the latter, there are separate
lanes itself for cycling, hence called a bicycle country
Happy to announce that I have been selected along with a group of environmental enthusiasts from all over the world as part of an Antarctic Expedition next March. The Expedition would highlight the fragile nature of the ecosystems in and around the continent of Antarctica and highlight man's urgency to fight the climate crisis. Looking forward to your support.
